Birthday Dragon

There's another great challenge starting today over at Creative Craft Challenges. We would like to see something "for the kids". This can either be a card or any other project as long as it is something for a child.

We have 2 great sponsors for this challenge...

I used a Dustin Pike image to create my card. I chose this "CupCakeDragon" image as it is perfect for my niece's birthday. Lilly is not a girly girl, so I could use all kinds of colours... which I did *LOL*... Well, when I asked her what she wanted to have for her birthday, she looked at me and asked if I could bake some muffins/cupcakes for her birthday... She didn't even want to talk about presents, just the muffins/cupcakes. Isn't she a cutie?!?

So here's the cupcake card for her birthday.

Stamp: „CupCakeDragonB” from Dustin Pike
Sentiment: WordArt
Colours: Polychromos from Faber Castell
Sketch: an old Deconstructed Sketch
Dies: Spellbinder Nestabilities

Confirmation Boy

Today it is the Confirmation of my younger cousin Adrian, so I've been doing an appropriate card for this occasion last night.
It had been quite a struggle to find a matching image as I could mostly find images for the Holy Communion only, but Adrian is 14 now, so he doesn't look like a small boy anymore... In the end I got lucky and found one at Karen's Doodles.

To the inside I've been adding a nice quote:
"The one who abandons God, is turning off the sun, to walk further with a lantern."

Sentiment: WordArt
Colours: Polychromos from Faber Castell
Sketch: Sketch Saturday
Dies: Spellbinder Nestabilities
