Today I am going to a birthday-party of my colleague. He turned 40 on February 16th, but as always he went on holidays, so that he doesn't have to celebrate his birthday...
Well, his girlfriend thought, that's not going to happen this year... He WILL be celebrating his 40th birthday and organized a surprise party for him.

Here's the card I made for him.

The text on the front side means "Men don't get older, they get better!".

And the text on the inside means "With the forties it starts being old for the young ones, with the fifties it starts being young for the old ones.  - Saying of the Zulu's (South Africa)"

Where's my love?

Here's my card for the new challenge over at Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge Blog. Our theme for the next fortnight is quite an easy one:
ANYTHING GOES

Our sponsor is Stitchy Bear Stamps with a fantastic price!

We got some images to play with from Stitchy Bear Stamps... and I chose the adorable "Who me" image.
I wanted to keep the card quite simple as I think she should be the main focus of the card... I just used some glittery cardstock as a background and plain ones for the frame & swirls. I also found those cute little gem-flowers in my stash...

Love is in the air

This is my first DT card for Penny's Challenges, our theme there for the next 2 weeks is "Love is in the air" and we got some really nice digis from our sponsons to play with.

We're sponsored by:

lili of the valley with a £10 voucher

and

Little Miss Muffet Stamps with a $10 gift certificate.

As most crafter associate warm, "female" colours with love I decided to do something else instead. It's a "love"-card for my dad. He doesn't like red or pink... so I used blue and brown as you can see.

Oh, for all those who don't know German, the text means "for the best dad" & "Love you".

Stamp: "Armchair Bear" from LOTV
Sentiment: WordArt
Colours: Polychromos from Faber Castel
Dies: Spellbinders Nestabilities
Punch: star border punch from Martha Stewart
Ribbon, stickles, buttons, plain papers and cardstock from my stash.
