Home is...

Here's a card I made with that gorgeous silhouette of NYC die, that I recently bought. I got the idea for that card when I saw the theme of the current challenge over at Addicted to CAS, which is "HOME".

New York may not be my home as it is on the wrong continent (at least for me), but it is a city that still fascinates me  -  even after I've been there for quite a few times during my time as an Au Pair in America. I am even looking forward to visiting the city again this fall.

I made one of those fantastic twisted cards I've seen on the SEME blog... I LOVE their wonderful tutorial posts several times a months. You'll always find some inspiration there!

I did't decorate the inside as I am not sure what kind of gift card or other little present I am going to put inside for my friend yet... So it only shows the entrance card for the thermal baths I got from my friend for Christmas .

Lucky Charm

I've tried something new  -  well, not exactly new, as I did this as a child already, but not for card making back then.

I used my old water colours and a straw to get this background. Then I just added a sentiment and some gems to the card...
